In December, the Legacy Bank of Florida Boca Raton office volunteered at the 7th Annual Light Up the Night in Parkland, a winter wonderland holiday party benefiting two local charities. The first is the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation, which is named for the Parkland native and Chicago Cubs first baseman, that funds cancer research and provides support to families battling cancer. The second is In Jacob’s Shoes, which is named after Jacob Zweig, the Parkland teenager who was killed by a classmate in 2008. It provides shoes, backpacks, school supplies and athletic gear to South Florida children in need.
