BAC is here to help!
March 20, 2020
Dear Customer,
The recent news of the "shelter in place" order has brought new challenges to our community. Please know that BAC Community Bank is doing what we can to help. As always, but especially now, we are here for you.
How we can help.
We are your community bank, and offer a wide range of customized financial solutions to help get you through these trying times. And we are doing even more to support your banking needs:
- All overdraft fees will be waived March 23rd through April 6th
- All CD early withdrawal penalties will be waived through April 30
- If you opted in to the Overdraft Protection service and qualify for an increase, your limit will automatically be increased from $700 to $1,200 effective Wednesday, March 25th.
- Mobile Deposit limits are increased to at least $2,500 for consumers and $5,000 for business accounts (and may even be higher based on your unique situation)
- A collection of our communications and additional resource links from reputable authorities can be found at www.bankbac.com/covid-19.
Our Community Commitment.
Just as we are doing all we can to help our customers in this crisis, we feel just as strongly about supporting the local business community. BAC has begun ordering boxed lunches from local businesses to be delivered to our essential employees at all branch and corporate locations every Friday. While we may not be able to give local businesses our patronage in person right now, there is much we can do to show our support. Please join us in supporting your favorite local business.
Your money is safe and secure.
At times like these, it’s natural for you to feel concerned about the safety of your money. There are plenty of opportunists, fraudsters, and alarmists spreading false information about the safety of bank deposits and FDIC insurance. We want to remind you that your deposits are safe in our bank and federally insured by the FDIC. The standard deposit insurance coverage limit is $250,000 per depositor, per FDIC-insured bank, per ownership category. For more information, visit www.fdic.gov/deposit/deposits/faq.html, and view helpful FAQ’s at https://www.fdic.gov/coronavirus/faq-customer.pdf.
Avoid Coronavirus Scams.
